Elisabeth LÁSZLÓ, known as Ella Baché was born on November 17th, 1900 in Abaúj-Torna, Hungary.
1900
1922
At the age of 22, she graduated from the University of Budapest and became one of the first female pharmacists. Her creative soul was passionate about skincare, and she set herself the goal of putting science at the service of beauty.
1927
Faced with the rise of anti-Semitism and Nazism, she fled Hungary with her mother and settled in Paris. Since cosmetic treatments did not yet exist, her ambition was to create effective, pleasant-to-use products while teaching women how to preserve their skin’s beauty.
1930
She developed the first make-up care products for the Parisian Haute Couture houses, to protect models' make-up-damaged skin.
1936
She opened her own institute at 8, rue de la Paix, where she created the first professional beauty consultation: skin analysis and skincare prescription. on-measure treatments. She also created the iconic Tomato Cream, the first skincare product to incorporate AHAs in cosmetics.
1941
Always on the lookout for innovation, she opened an office and laboratory in New York. She drew inspiration from the latest medical research to create a cult product, the Intex Cream. She also developed the first Ingredient List labels, with the aim of improving transparency for consumers.
1960
She created Le Revitalizer, the first double peel combining two grades of exfoliation: mechanical and chemical, revolutionizing the skin preparation stage. This star product is still used in today's professional treatments .
1970
Keen to support women in their daily lives and make them more independent, Mme Baché developed a number of beauty advice guides.
1980
Her visionary spirit led her to take an interest in a little-known molecule and develop Elastogel, the first product based on Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the basis of today's HYDRA REPULP Collection .
1990
Ella takes an interest in cutting-edge technologies and develops Sonocare, the first ultrasound-based facial equipment, the precursor of SKINTEX®LAB, used today in all ELLA BACHÉ protocols.
